Message So if they swapped out a whole donor door from a different year, that could be (at least part of) the problem. Even if everything is plugged up "correctly", you might experience problems. I had this issue many years ago when I purchased a 1993 2+2 that had been a theft recovery and apparently the doors had been replaced from a parts car, most likely from a 90 or 91. iirc, I wasn't getting blown fuses, but the actuator was not working correctly.

Find out what year (and model: conv, 2+2, TT) they got the donor parts from and compare wiring diagrams between your specific year and the parts from the donor car. That's what worked for me. I just needed to do some minor modifications and everything worked perfectly ;-)
